                                               My experiences at Indiana
I started my journey from Juba for master programs in education at Indiana University and is a mission of return immediately after the completion of my course for one year unlike Dr .Julia who started her journey from Juba to Indiana, Bloomington for resettlement as a citizen in USA.However, the behavior of people in Indiana surprise me in the same way as that of Dr Julia. Like no greetings, dressing of youth, paying tax in every items and reading of the courses are far different from that of our universities in south Sudan.

  1. How are the readings different frrom South Sudan? Do you think some of the differences might be related to the level of your work - meaning Masters level work? Or is it totally culturally different? I'm curious about this difference and would love to hear more about it wen I return. (And your Father is doing much better. He came home yesterday! Thank you so much for your kind words!)

  2. I think you need take it cool. You will slowly adjust to the new system.you need to ignore the way the youth dress because that is their culture here.Be comfortable with the way you dress because it's portraying our culture too.Thanks.

  3. I agree with your statement about the mission of return,of course we have to go back because south sudan is eagerly waiting for the knowledge we achieved here in IU and straight away make a change in our beloved mother land.

  5. Not only at master level , in degree level, we do have many courses with few readings , which make students to relax sometime thinking that they have a lot of time. But here I can see even the under graduate students have a lot and keep them busy. In master level, it takes two years in South Sudan to obtain master. But here is one year with a lot of readings which keep us busy all the time and we learn more compare to that in South Sudan.
